Description
Designed to contribute to the memory of Haitian songs,
This compilation is an initiative that is part of the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage of Haiti. This collection is aimed at primary schools, music schools, and all young people starting out in music.
It includes a selection of songs written in their original version and adapted for children.
The transcription in current Creole – with hyphens and apostrophes deliberately retained – facilitates the reading and understanding of the texts, particularly in terms of the scores.
The last part of this booklet is devoted solely to the lyrics of the songs.
Harmonization is within the reach of the average musician.
The musical writing is clear and easy.
The CD annexed to the collection constitutes support for the teacher or the student.
Karine Margron

Fabien Dodard
Design and creation of the cover of the collection and the CD.
